Hi there. I’m Jenn
I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Jenn, the heart and hands behind Soapmaker’s Homestead. On our mostly-wooded acres, I’ve cultivated a life rich in simplicity, creativity, and continuous growth. In 2024, my husband suffered a stroke that left him nearly paralyzed on his left side. I had to leave my job to stay home and be his full time cheerleader. I realized there are so many people out there going through something similar (“cheerleading” is not for the faint of heart, yall!), I wanted to be a place where people going through similar situations could go to be with others who get it.

I was a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom for much of your marriage, and I love keeping a home and all that goes along with that, cooking, keeping house, gardening, but in this new chapter, finding more efficient ways of doing these things. I hope to be able to share tips to avoid burnout as well as learn what has worked for you.

Lastly, I am a soapmaker. It’s a great creative outlet for me, and a way I can help support our family. I have been teaching soapmaking and selling soaps for years. If you’d like to learn, stick around. I am constantly posting my latest creations. Below are some of thing things you’ll find around here. I’d love for you to join me.

My Passions:

  • Soapmaking: Crafting natural, artisanal soaps allows me to blend science and art, producing gentle products for the skin.
  • Decluttering: Embracing less has transformed my living space into a haven of peace and efficiency.
  • Cooking from Scratch: Preparing wholesome meals from fresh, homegrown ingredients is a daily joy.
  • Gardening: Tending to my garden connects me to nature and provides a bounty of produce and herbs.
  • Personal Growth: I’m dedicated to nurturing my spiritual, mental, and physical well-being, always striving to become a better version of myself.

Join the Community

I believe in the power of community and learning from one another. Whether you’re a fellow soapmaker, a decluttering enthusiast, a home cook, a gardener, or someone on a journey of self-improvement, I invite you to join me. Let’s share experiences, tips, and support as we navigate this fulfilling lifestyle together.

Feel free to reach out, share your stories, or ask questions. Together, we can inspire and uplift each other.

Blessings!

Jenn
