Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts, pecans)
  • 1/2 cup seeds (e.g., sunflower seeds, chia seeds)
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (e.g., raisins, cranberries, apricots)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine oats, nuts, seeds, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together melted coconut oil and honey (or maple syrup).
  • Mix Together: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  • Spread and Bake: Spread the granola mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even browning.
  • Cool and Add Mix-Ins: Once golden and fragrant, remove the granola from the oven and let it cool completely. Stir in dried fruits or any other desired mix-ins.
  • Store: Transfer to an airtight container. The granola will stay fresh for up to two weeks.
